Domestic abuse is a pattern of behavior that comes in many forms such as, threats, violence, emotional, verbal or sexual abuse, and it is very common and can happen to anyone. Noticing the signs of an abusive relationship is the first step towards ending it.
Domestic abuse can occur to people in marriages, cohabitation as well as with family members. There are different types of domestic abuse and it does not always have to involve physical violence.

- Sexual: Forcing or pressuring someone to have sec, unwanted sexual activity/rape, inappropriately touching or
groping someone or making them watch pornography. - Financial: Taking someone’s money, controlling their finances or even not letting someone work.
- Emotional: Making an individual feel bad about situations or themselves or scared, stalking, blackmailing, playing mind games.
